Benzaclin is a drug gel typically prescribed to people suffering from acne vulgaris. It is a combination of (5%) of benzoyl peroxide and (1%) clindamycin (an antibiotic). Duac is an identical therapeutic equivalent of BenzaClin manufactured by Stiefel Labs.

Its mode of action is from the combined anti-bacterial action of Clindamycin and from the comedolytic and anti-bacterial actions of benzoyl peroxide. Both ingredients have been shown to reduce the number of acne lesions with statistical significance.
